Chautara Cottage
VIC
Please note, this accommodation is for use by members of the missions community for furlough/ home assignment accommodation (up to six months).
It is a very secluded one-acre property in the bush, with a small mud-brick house (our home) and a smaller building that consisted of two rooms on one side, and a carport on the other which has been converted into a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. It was our intention to have a self-contained dwelling for mission families/ personnel to use during furloughs/ home assignments, or for other short stays in Melbourne.
The cottage has two bedrooms (the main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the second bedroom has a single bed + bunk bed) which can accommodate a family of five, with lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. Although only 3 kms from Warrandyte we are in a tranquil bush setting not far from the Yarra River and the Warrandyte State Park – it is a beautiful area.
