Transition Training for Remote Indigenous Ministries (T-TRIM) 2026
Transition Training for Remote Indigenous Ministry (T-TRIM) trains Christians, wanting to work with Aboriginal Australians. This is also a great chance for Professional development for those on the field. Also, a great place for management to come understand what their workers are going through.
Experienced facilitators from various mission agencies have worked together to adapt this course for Aboriginal Australian Remote context. These missions include: Coordinate, Wycliffe, Pioneers, Nungalinya, Youth With A Mission Darwin and World Outreach.
The course is held in Darwin NT, over two blocks, with a week in January and October. The units for October include:
· Living in Two Worlds
· Christian Spirituality in Aboriginal Australian Context
· Aboriginal Languages
· Where to from Here?
We recommend:
• Completing the whole course (about 10 days) over two blocks with January first.
• Registering for a 2 day unit as Professional Development.
• If you do not have a basic understanding of kinship system, beginning with ‘Working with Aboriginal Australians + taster unit’ (3 days) held in January.
However, for those starting with the October block,
· We can send you pre-reading/activities that you can do in preparation.
· We have also started a session on Monday afternoon for those starting T-TRIM for the whole week of October or Aboriginal Languages.
· Some participants have found it reconfirming as they do January after.
