Transition Training Taster for Remote Indigenous Ministries (T-TRIM Taster) - Perth
T-TRIM trains Christians who is interested in working with Aboriginal Australians.
T-TRIM is training for understanding and effectively working with Indigenous people.
The Taster is held in Perth WA and content will include:
· Culture and Values
· Indigenous Worldview
· How to be polite
· Kinship
· Clash of Western and Indigenous Worlds
· Are you in Culture Shock?
· Determining whether you are an Insider or Outsider
· Aboriginal Languages
· Living in Two Worlds
· Christian Spirituality in Aboriginal Australian context
This Taster course is a compressed version of Missions Interlink’s 10 day course run in Darwin called T-TRIM (Transition Training for Remote Indigenous Ministries) which is based on Missions Interlink Transition Training course.
Facilitators from various mission agencies have worked together to adapt this course for Aboriginal Australian Remote context. These missions include: Coordinate, Wycliffe, Pioneers, Nungalinya, Youth With A Mission Darwin and World Outreach, with guests from CMS and Local Leaders International. In Perth, we have facilitators from Wycliffe, Pioneers and others.
