How to create an event
Once you have logged into the site you will see the menu item “Create Content” on the menu headed with your login name. Click “Create Content” if you sufficient permissions.
You will now see displayed a number of content types that you can create. Click “Event”.
You can enter the start and end dates and times.
The Title will be displayed in calendars etc.
Generally select a Content Category of None, unless you want this event to appear in content relating to a certain category.
Enter detail about the event in the Body field.
In Groups you can cause this event to appear in the pages of specific groups as well as the main MI site. Eg you could cause a conference event to appear on the different State pages for NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA, etc.
It is possible to attach image and files (such as an appliocation form, or brochure).
