Eddie is seconded to GC from Wycliffe Bible Translators. Eddie’s great interest is in developing a healthy, biblically based approach to mission in a world which is changing rapidly. Read his blog: http://www.kouya.net
The conference program will provide plenty of opportunities to meet, network, and share with others leading and involved with different aspects of cross-cultural and global mission.
The keynote sessions at the conference will follow the theme: In the footsteps of the Spirit: Rethinking Mission Strategy from Acts of the Apostles, and a range of seminars will focus on current issues and trends in mission. Confirmed presenters include Michael Smith (Well-being), Paul Tuxworth (Child Protection), Jay Matenga (Mobilisation), Vanessa Hall (Compliance), Kirk Franklin (Leadership), Kate Pocklington (Prayer), Roger van der Veen (Member Care), Eddie Arthur (Blogging), Ann Robinson (Legal Issues), Bruce Dipple (Church and Mission), Tim Silberman and Richard Hibbert (Choosing a Mission Agency), ACNC (Charity Standards and Compliance), Richard Utber (Growing Global Churches), Neil Bull (Financial Risk), Barry Borneman, and Omar Djoeandy. Please note that these are general topic areas, and not the titles of the workshops. Darrell Jackson will be presenting a workshop entitled The Legacy of Giants: mobilising and theologising in order to lead faithfully, wisely and courageously. Ruth Powell will also address a plenary session on the involvement of Australian churches in global mission.
